Everyone says that Russia is the Aggressor, yet Russia offered peace plans every step of the way.
First asked Autonomies for the Russian territories inside the Ukrainian borders and was denied.
Then After taking Crimea, And 8 years of Diplomacy, another negotiating table in Ankara, Turkey was attended but refused by Ukraine that chose the war as solution.
Ukraine chose war not negotiations.
Then Russia offered this year another negotiating point, refused again by Ukraine.
Vladimir Putin just spoke in Victor Orban’s visit that he was very disappointed that Ukraine wants to fight to the bitter end. But the bitter end of Ukraine might not be defeat but extinction. Vladimir Putin has in plan to not only defeat Ukraine on battlefield but to also assist Poland Hungary and Romania get their territories included today inside the Ukrainian borders back. And that would leave less than half of what Ukraine borders included in 1991. Vladimir Putin may annex the ex Romanian territories to the Republic of Moldova instead of giving them back to Romania, as Romania is not very keen to collaborate with him. Republic of Moldova was Romanian territory until 1945 and became one of the Soviet republic. Soviet Moldova Republic suffered like any other soviet republic population displacement: Romanians deported in Siberia and replaced with Russian people, but Moldovian people still consider themselves Romanians and receive Romanian citizenship directly on request even they do not live in Romania.
For the moment the next exterminating step might be Nuclear weapons apparently. It is scary, I know. I am myself disappointed about the Ukraine-Russia conflict escalation but what Russia does for BRICS countries is way more important than the conflict in Ukraine. And so do think the other countries that are still decided to adhere to the BRICS block. They know a lot more than us, those who apparently should “hate” Russia based on what mainstream media feeds our attention with.
