Victor Orban could not bring the peace but he found out how far the Ukainian and the Russian sides are from it. Apparently, as Victor Orban declared in the interview below, Zelensky and Putin are emotionally on “each other’s throat” and according to his words the next few months both of them intend to escalate the aggression. That was declared even before the NATO 75 anniversary meetings, where most members pledged to help Ukraine with more weapons and assistance, and after new sour and bitter public between the lines insinuations from NATO speakers, Russia is even more enraged.

I do regret to disappoint you. There will be a lot of violence from Russia’s side soon, as Russia tries to strike as much as possible before Ukrainian forces get the help and the facilities that can enable violence inside Russia.

Biden is playing both sides of the coins. Biden tries to steel Trump campaign “asset” of making peace possible, by encouraging Zelensky to make as many compromises as possible to get a peace deal, like for example to invite Russia to the next peace summit, slowing down about claiming territories and accepting to negotiate with Putin (Feb 2022, Zelensky said he would only negotiate with the next Russian president). In the same time NATO accellerates, escalates and encourages Ukraine to continue to fight. By the time Biden’s coin is down it will only show one side, and that side would be the war most probably as things start to precipitate, and more and more US officials feel that peace can not settle in precipitating circumstances.

Main Ukrainian problem is not the weapons or assistance but military force, especially the qualified ones, like pilots, and that takes time. Russia instead will use this time to gain advances, while Ukraine will answer more and more cowardly, attacking civilians and/or civilian important targets to trigger emotionally the Russian population from Russia and Russian gained territories in the Ukrainian 1991 borders, that would, in their vision put pressure on the Russian regime to stop the war.

Ukrainian voices are also very “vocal” about the fact that most of their insuccesses’ responsibility would be on the West side not giving enough aid, or not enough aid on time. This makes especially US army, sour and lose interest in assisting them wholleheartedly.

It is a very sad diplomacy failure though, and I do really hope that the new US presidential ellections at least, will make a big difference.
