There was a time when Soviet Union and its core republic, Russia made a lot of damages to the East European Countries. All our elite politicians were humiliated and imprisoned in exterminating gulags, our most precious national values hidden, destroyed or isolated, external affairs totally controlled…I would have all the reasons in the world to hate Russians but I do not, and let us understand that what USSR did to East European countries, USSR did for all the people of its soviet republic. It is the former soviet regime to be blamed, not the whole Russian nation.
There was a time when China just could not get on with the Soviet Union during Khrushchev, during Brejnev, even both communist countries, and for years negotiated ultra secretly with US via Henry Kissinger, via Pakistany leader in office that time to make possible the Shanghai communique in 1972, a chance for China’ just slightly cracking to open door to future foreign investment opportunity, escaping the hawkish soviet communist eyes.
Today US cannot stand the China’s “rising from the dead” economic, technological financial miracle.
There was a time when, not long ago, India was exporting not much other than few bollywood movies and some rice, reated as not very smart diplomatically by its former colonizers. Today India is a very promising emerging economy very courted by the whole Western World.
Let us clearly differentiate what facts are, what nations are, what leaders are, what regimes are, what circumstances are and especially what actual causes are.
It is not the ritht time to hold Russia accountable for its previous regimes and leaders crimes and flaws.
It is the time to let Russia and China do what:
Nicolae Ceausescu (Romanian leader 1964-1989) tried to do and was killed
Maomar Cadaffi (Libian leader 1979-2011) tried to do and was killled
Sadam Hussein (Irakian leader 1979-2003) tried to do and was killed
Thomas Sankara (very young Burkina Faso leader 1983-1987) tried to do and was killed
… and many other leaders that loved their own country tried to do and were either killed either heavily sanctioned and isolated. They tried to escape some ties, some oppression some chains or barriers.
Russia tries now to do what all these previous mentioned leaders did, tries to open a door, to pave a way for countries that want a real, independent and self-sufficient future for its future generations, a way that can not be unpaved a door that can not be closed anymore.
Russia tries to ungrip the tight grip of a hidden, sublte, and firm strong hold of the neocolonialism that is behind the United Nations, International Monetary Funds and other “indispensable” institutions that “everyone should adhere to, be part of, align with”.
Russia is assisted in this endeavor by China and other BRICS countries. China is obviously the financial and trading epicenter of this movement thanks to its massive opportunities, but Russia is the ideological engine that now needs, absolutely needs to drive fast and carefully to lead this boat of escape that now is just for itself and BRICS countries but maybe, in the future for more and more countries that want real economies, real prices, real based on offer and demand markets, real opportunities… for all countries that want to evade the unfair, artificial speculative Western World self-destroying economy and governance.
Get over Russia’s flaws and side thorns that may scratch, hurt or even bleed.
Russia is blossoming a beautiful rose of freedom we may all be grateful for one day!
